"Color is the lifeblood of design. And, in 2006, recognition is being paid to architects and interior designers whose work consistently is representative of the power and drama of color - professionals who have used color innovatively...creatively...therapeutically...impressively." - Benjamin Moore
Jaynes has been quoted in the Homes & Gardens section of the Oregonian as well as Oregon Home Magazine. She is a featured designer in The Fine Art of Wall Design, a book on how to hang art. Her work was also the subject of a three-page story in The Oregonian.

Kimberlee Jaynes has officially been an interior designer for 17 years. But her career started much earlier than that. At the age of 15, she was using her own money to repaint, refinish and redesign her own bedroom at home. And just about everything she's done – personally and professionally – since that time has prepared her for what she's doing now, all over the world.
The granddaughter of a renowned photographer and daughter of a painter, Kimberlee was manager of visual merchandising for Nordstrom and taught visual merchandising and display design. She's an associate member of the Northwest Society of Interior Designers who has practiced both commercial and residential design from Santa Fe, New Mexico, to San Francisco, California, to Stuttgart, Germany to her home in Portland, Oregon.
She's a color specialist who conducts extensive client interviews prior to the design process so that the home always fits the client – and the client always feels at home. Her ability to personalize the design process, and not box herself into a particular "look" has been the key to her rapid ascension in the design world.
Currently, she lives in a floating home outside of Portland, where she's created a resort-like feel of paradise – a haven from the pressures of the outside world.
There is no greater satisfaction for me than to help you find your own personal style. When you walk through the door, I want your home to authentically reflect your style. Each home has a story to tell about its inhabitants. As an interior designer my desire is not to impose my vision but to help you realize yours!
My family tree is full of artists. My mother is a gifted fine arts painter. My grandfather, Julian P. Graham, was a photographer in Carmel, California. To learn more about his work, click here. I have inherited my love of art and all things beautifully designed and I have found my own artistic expression through interior design.
I have been painting alongside my mother for years and she has taught me to look at everything through a painter's eye. I see how all things relate in composition to one another and how light affects all things. To view a sample of my mother's work, click here.
I believe that being surrounded by an environment that you truly love can nurture your life and soothe your soul.
